font-size: 120%;\"><strong>We appreciate your cooperation.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 120%;\"><strong>If you do so, I would appreciate it if you could include your name (pen name?) and email address.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Hello, everyone<\/p>\n<p>This is Enta.<\/p>\n<p>The other day, I received a comment like this on a blog post via Twitter:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"ja\">No matter how many awards I win, it feels like I\u2019m only praised in that moment, and nothing really sticks with me afterward, lol.<br \/>\nIt does give me a sense of personal fulfillment, though \ud83d\ude0f<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lost Director (@meikantoku) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/meikantoku\/status\/1488642040065716224?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 1, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>And on that day, a comment like this was posted on the article\u2014please take a look at the very bottom of the article.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/2022\/01\/30\/%e3%82%84%e3%82%8a%e9%81%8e%e3%81%8e%e6%96%bd%e5%b7%a5%e7%ae%a1%e7%90%86%e3%81%8b%e3%82%89%e8%84%b1%e5%87%ba%e3%81%97%e3%81%9f%e3%81%84%ef%bc%81\/#comment-666<\/p>\n<p>Some of the stories are pretty heartbreaking, but Ishio-kun from Tohoku\u2019s comment is amazing, too!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And just the other day, a friend of mine was talking about something like that, too, but,<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the general contractor\u2019s treatment of competent on-site employees is terrible!<\/p>\n<p>That's the point.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My friend has received several Director's Commendations and several on-the-job awards, yet his salary hasn't changed a bit\u2014and apparently, it still hasn't gone up!<\/p>\n<p>If companies all over the country heard a story like this, I think they\u2019d be eager to say, \u201cThen please come work for us!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Ishio's company,<\/p>\n<p>\u300c<span style=\"font-size: 130%; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>By the way, if you're in the Tohoku region, check out my place too lol<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 130%; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>At the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, a score of 79 earns you the President's Award, and a score of 83 earns you a 1 million yen bonus.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 130%; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>If the job site offers a remote location allowance, the average salary is on par with that of a major general contractor.<\/strong><\/span>\u300d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Why aren\u2019t site supervisors\u2014who are facing a more severe labor shortage than skilled craftsmen and are already an endangered species\u2014being given preferential treatment?<\/p>\n<p>Besides, why would they treat a coach who can win games so poorly??<\/p>\n<p>I just can't understand that at all.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no doubt that companies currently working as general contractors will face fierce competition to secure supervision contracts going forward!<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the competition to sign high-scoring managers will have a significant impact on subsequent bidding rounds.<\/p>\n<p>Do the company's executives realize that without a supervisor, they wouldn't even be able to win contracts from general contractors?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46346\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/62f0fc284334d5fd6908d43a798f3ccf.png\" alt=\"Business Owner\" width=\"431\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/62f0fc284334d5fd6908d43a798f3ccf.png 431w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/62f0fc284334d5fd6908d43a798f3ccf-259x300.png 259w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The old-school executives at construction companies probably haven\u2019t even considered the possibility that their supervisors might leave and the company could end up in trouble over the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are actually two types of directors.<\/p>\n<p>A foreman who prefers subcontractor sites and a foreman who prefers general contractor sites.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 130%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Prime-contractor projects that qualify for official company recognition<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 130%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Subcontracting Work That Enhances Our Company's Value<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Both are important.<\/p>\n<p>And the number of on-site supervisors is likely to continue declining in the future.<\/p>\n<p>I think the days of being treated unfairly are over.<\/p>\n<p>Back in my day, we were being treated like dirt, lol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are probably some directors out there who would try to blackmail you by taking advantage of their position, but,<\/p>\n<p>I think about 90% of them are serious, reliable directors!<\/p>\n<p>I really think it would definitely be better to provide even more support for those people going forward, don't you?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46348\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/6745a8f36c0d8ec63b4920f440d95296.jpg\" alt=\"Rating\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/6745a8f36c0d8ec63b4920f440d95296.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/6745a8f36c0d8ec63b4920f440d95296-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I really want the company to give high internal recognition to projects where we\u2019ve earned points for construction work or received some other form of evaluation\u2014rather than just for certifications!<\/p>\n<p>If you receive an award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, doesn't that affect your eligibility for bids for the next three years (if I recall correctly)?<\/p>\n<p>A company's profits are worth more than 1 million yen in bonuses awarded as a performance reward, right?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Instead of hiring such an expensive director, I'll train a young, affordable one!<\/p>\n<p>Some people say that, but there\u2019s no job harder to break into than being a director, right?<\/p>\n<p>I think it will take at least five years. (Just my personal opinion.)<\/p>\n<p>It's pretty tough, isn't it?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I think they should give the director a bigger cut!! lol<\/p>\n<p>If you can't do that, the only option for the manager is to find a new job!<\/p>\n<p>There are definitely some good points.<\/p>\n<p>Give it a try.<\/p>\n<p>Since the market for directors will be a seller's market for the next 10 years or more, I think some pretty good opportunities will come up, don't you think?<\/p>\n<p>In today's world, changing jobs is a way to find a place where you can fully utilize your skills.<\/p>\n<p>Try to find a good spot.<\/p>\n<p>*Note: This applies only to directors who are good at their jobs!
