A few days ago, there were news reports about an incident of violence involving a technical intern.<\/p>\n

That really is a terrible story.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We also have a large number of Vietnamese technical interns here.<\/p>\n
They are carrying out the slope stabilization and anchor work for our main construction project.<\/p>\n
Without them, we couldn't do our jobs.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There's no way they could treat someone that badly!<\/p>\n
I really feel like I'm at my wit's end.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since when did Japanese people become so arrogant?<\/p>\n
What's more, the Japanese construction industry today cannot carry out construction projects without foreign technical trainees,<\/p>\n
You do realize that doesn't make sense, right?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some people even refer to it as a form of slavery.<\/p>\n
However, while I believe most companies operate properly, some do treat their employees this way.<\/p>\n
That's very unfortunate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They're definitely here to make money!<\/p>\n
That's true.<\/p>\n
It's less about technical training and more about the \"Japanese Dream.\"<\/p>\n
Come to Japan to work and earn money, and send money back to their families in their home country.<\/p>\n
So that my family can have a better life, even if just a little!<\/p>\n
And I've come to Japan to get a better job in the future.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Personally, I think that's normal. It's just common sense, right?<\/p>\n
On top of that, they're working hard here in a foreign country.<\/p>\n
I think it\u2019s healthier for Japanese people to cheer them on, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There's really no need to go out of your way to pick on them.<\/p>\n
They provide us with labor, and we compensate them with technology and wages.<\/p>\n
That's all there is to it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It should have been enough just to do that, but I really can't forgive them for doing something so cruel.<\/p>\n
Presumably, this company will face some form of punishment, but<\/p>\n
More importantly, what will happen to this victim from now on?<\/p>\n
That's something to think about.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We'd like to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future, wouldn't we?<\/p>\n
If something like this were to happen at our company or another company, I\u2019d film it and report it to the Labor Standards Office!<\/p>\n
I hope that by addressing any shortcomings\u2014including our own\u2014we can work together to create a better work environment for everyone.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And one thing we must never forget is that, for us as a company, our employees are everything!<\/p>\n
It doesn't matter whether they're Japanese or foreign.<\/p>\n
A company is its people!<\/p>\n
