This is some kind of mortar\u2014or is it?\u2014made with a 3D printer that I saw at the Construction DX Expo the other day.<\/p>\n
I'm not exactly sure what kind of material it is, but I'm guessing it might be resin mortar. (I have absolutely no idea, so this is just a guess.)<\/p>\n

It's not clear whether rebar was used, but was rebar placed layer by layer?<\/p>\n
They're standing upright, but they're stacked horizontally.<\/p>\n

Looking at the cross-section, you can see that it was made by laying it flat.<\/p>\n
Each layer was about 1 cm thick.<\/p>\n
I'm curious about things like the pace at which this will unfold, but it was a very interesting work.<\/p>\n

We are now in the era of 3D-printed prototypes.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re also using a 3D printer to make various prototypes here, but if the slope is smooth (with a consistent gradient), it seems like we could use a 3D printer to make slope frames, right?<\/p>\n
It\u2019s like setting up the formwork first and then pouring the mortar in from above.<\/p>\n
Since the assembly process involves quite a bit of manual labor, it seems like automation would be difficult, but could it be done if we were only using mortar??<\/p>\n

I guess if our legal framework and anchor systems were automated to a certain extent, we could reduce our staff and make things a little easier, though.<\/p>\n
Work at heights and the like inevitably involves a lot of manual labor, so even a little mechanization would make things easier.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve been thinking a lot about exactly which parts of the process can be automated, but in our industry, it\u2019s not so easy...<\/p>\n

I guess I could probably manage to do something in the other administrative areas, though lol<\/p>\n
You\u2019d like to make things a little easier and reduce various risks, right?<\/p>\n
I suppose we\u2019ll have to leave matters concerning certain types of machinery to the major companies, but,<\/p>\n
To be honest, that\u2019s a business matter, and the construction methods involved are way beyond the capabilities of us small and medium-sized contractors, so it\u2019s a bit of a challenge, lol.<\/p>\n

I guess we really do need to give this some serious thought and move forward with our own digital transformation, don't we?<\/p>\n
