Have you heard of a \"lance rod\" used to cut sheet piles?<\/p>\n

It's a long rod, about 2 to 3 meters, like this, and you use it by inserting the oxygen hose from the back.<\/p>\n

It was completely soaked from the rain the day before, but it was removed in a few hours using Suipon.<\/p>\n
Because of that, it was hard for Uncle Lancer to do his job, so after that he just laid down some scaffolding planks and used a Lancer pole lol<\/p>\n

As shown in the photo, oxygen is forced out from the tip of a long rod, and the temperature at the tip reportedly exceeds 4,000 degrees.<\/p>\n

It cuts more than two to three times faster than conventional gas cutting.<\/p>\n
Since there's soil behind the sheet piles, they're even harder to cut through.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the lancer staff itself is getting shorter and shorter.<\/p>\n

Finally, it\u2019s finished\u2014it\u2019s been shortened down to about this length.<\/p>\n
The rod itself doesn't get very hot, so you can hold it in the middle while working.<\/p>\n

But its speed really is second to none.<\/p>\n
Using standard gas cutting, it takes about 30 minutes to cut a hole in a sheet pile. (In some cases, it may take longer.)<\/p>\n
The Lancer rod is a bit pricey, but considering the speed, it\u2019s definitely worth the money.<\/p>\n
I highly recommend it.<\/p>\n
