We were talking about being a cog in the company machine.<\/p>\n

People often say you're just a cog in the company machine, don't they?<\/p>\n
I think people tend to talk about it in a rather negative light.<\/p>\n
Whether I'm at a large company or a small or medium-sized one, I speak in the same tone.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
However, the fundamental premise is that you chose it yourself. (This isn't to say that it's a matter of personal responsibility.)<\/p>\n
I took that job simply because it happened to be available when I was young.<\/p>\n
On the contrary, since that was the only option, I had no choice but to choose it.<\/p>\n
Introductions or connections through parents.<\/p>\n
At some point, I ended up taking that job.<\/p>\n
I looked at the job posting too, thought, \u201cI guess this will do,\u201d and joined the company on a whim\u2014without even knowing it was a slope construction firm or which major company it was, lol.<\/p>\n

When we were young, we used to make decisions without really understanding what we were doing and without much information, but now, thanks to the internet, it\u2019s gotten a lot easier to choose the right gear, hasn\u2019t it? lol<\/p>\n

However, even those cogs we chose for ourselves often turn out to be different from what we initially thought, or they may be much more profound than we expected\u2014and as we gain experience and grow older, our perspectives and ways of thinking continue to change, don\u2019t they?<\/p>\n
When I think about it, the \"cogs\" perspective seems to hit the nail on the head.<\/p>\n

Even gears that appear flat when viewed from the front can actually be quite thick or deformed when viewed from the side.<\/p>\n
And above all, if that cog were to come loose, the cogs of the company\u2014which is a society in itself\u2014would also come to a halt, so I want everyone to recognize how important those cogs are.<\/p>\n

What's more, I think that person can actually add to those gears on their own.<\/p>\n
For example, if you can use a spray machine, an anchor drill, and operate a nozzle, you\u2019ll get three gears lol.<\/p>\n
Someone who can manage construction, submit documents electronically, prepare completion documents, and consistently earn high evaluation scores\u2014from a company\u2019s perspective, this person is indispensable.<\/p>\n
Surprisingly, there are a lot of people working at companies who have a lot of gears.<\/p>\n
The more time passes, the more you're supposed to have. On the flip side, people who don't have that many gears are just that kind of person, lol.<\/p>\n
Please also think of \"gears\" as \"skills.\"<\/p>\n

However, I think there are some people who, even though they have few gears, are very long (deep).<\/p>\n
He's the kind of person who excels only in that area.<\/p>\n

When you think about it this way, I don't think there are any cogs in the machine that aren't necessary to the company.<\/p>\n
Of course, it\u2019s true that there are some people who don\u2019t need it!<\/p>\n
A faulty gear will cause other gears to malfunction.<\/p>\n
If you keep using it like that, the blade will get worse and worse, and it\u2019ll spread to the rest of the set. (Speaking from experience, lol)<\/p>\n
Whether it's suggesting people slack off, badmouthing others, cutting corners on construction projects, or stealing from the company\u2014I don't think we need people like that.<\/p>\n

I keep talking about \u201ccogs in the machine,\u201d but a single cog can\u2019t do anything on its own. If we all work together to make the company thrive, then it doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re the president, an executive, a department head, or a new hire\u2014we\u2019re all the same!<\/p>\n
Well, as I wrote above, if you look at it from a different perspective, even though each one has a different thickness and shape, they all look the same from the front.<\/p>\n
Titles don't matter.<\/p>\n
I want to work hand in hand with my colleagues to help drive growth in the slope stabilization and civil engineering industries!<\/p>\n
And I hope to show young people out there just how exciting the civil engineering industry can be.<\/p>\n
