Lately, as I\u2019ve been out on site, I\u2019ve gradually been getting back into the swing of things.<\/p>\n
And that's when the fatigue really starts to set in, huh? lol<\/p>\n
Mornings are tough...<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n
Here are some important points to keep in mind when managing a project on-site.<\/p>\n
Just doing this will make it easier to understand the current situation on the shop floor and anticipate the next steps in the process.<\/p>\n
It will also help you keep things running smoothly on set. (For Beginner Directors)<\/p>\n

What kind of work is it?<\/p>\n
When will the materials arrive?<\/p>\n
How many people are coming?<\/p>\n
What about safety facilities?<\/p>\n
Where are the materials located, and how are they transported?<\/p>\n
Who is working in which position?<\/p>\n
Do the installation location and method match the drawings?<\/p>\n
I'll check the progress for the day around 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
On the first day, the focus is mainly on getting organized, but starting on the second day, you'll need to estimate how long each task will take.<\/p>\n
Do we have enough materials?<\/p>\n
Are there any factors to watch for starting tomorrow?<\/p>\n
What kind of work will we be doing tomorrow?<\/p>\n
What type of work will be done in three days?<\/p>\n
Is there any news coming out in three days?<\/p>\n
What's the weather going to be like this week?<\/p>\n
When should I start?<\/p>\n
When will the materials for that project arrive?<\/p>\n
Confirmation of the construction site, construction methods, and drawings.<\/p>\n
Clarifying the scope of work and confirming the construction site with the contractor who was there first<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For now, just this much is enough to keep things running smoothly on-site. (There\u2019s plenty more, though, lol.)<\/p>\n
An important part of a site supervisor\u2019s job is to plan for the future.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A craftsman will do the work right now.<\/p>\n When the director focuses on work a few days ahead, the shoot keeps moving forward.<\/p>\n If a site supervisor gets caught up in day-to-day tasks, people will say that their planning is poor and that they can\u2019t get the job done.<\/p>\n However, if you lay the groundwork effectively by anticipating what will happen a few days down the road, the craftsmen will quickly catch up with you later on, so<\/p>\n As long as we lay that foundation firmly, we\u2019ll be able to effectively manage the progress and quality of our current work.<\/p>\n Let's carefully lay out the path ahead by following the schedule!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello, everyone.
