I've been trying to manage my nerves for the past few days lol<\/p>\n

I started cooking teppanyaki on the griddle.<\/p>\n

Man, this is hell.<\/p>\n

Today is hell again.<\/p>\n

So, let's get ready for summer!!<\/p>\n

I've already set up my air conditioning and heating system.<\/p>\n

I want to wear my jacket, so I cut a hole in the back lol (I don't really want to wear it, but I hate it when grease gets on it!)<\/p>\n

Why aren't there any vests designed for air-conditioned clothing??<\/p>\n

Why don't manufacturers make them?<\/p>\n

That's what I'm thinking, but is it already out?? lol<\/p>\n

Well, it's just a matter of cutting the back with a utility knife, right?<\/p>\n

\"Heatstroke<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve now entered the season when heatstroke cases are on the rise over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

It's even more so because my body isn't used to the heat.<\/p>\n

Let's make sure to take good care of our health\u2014including staying well-hydrated, getting plenty of rest, and getting a good night's sleep the night before!<\/p>\n

We also made the Hikage (modular type) that we developed last year for on-site use, as well as the version for slopes.<\/p>\n

Looks like I'll be able to grow Hikage on the slope this year, lol.<\/p>\n

Please also make sure to spread the word about measures to take for people suffering from heatstroke.<\/p>\n

Simply setting up a cold water bath at the site may help reduce the severity of heatstroke<\/a><\/p>\n

Is that clear?<\/p>\n

Apply ice to the artery...<\/p>\n

Since that doesn't make any sense,<\/p>\n

At the very least, pour water over your entire body and cool yourself down with ice!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is the bare minimum!<\/p>\n

If possible, please set up a water bath\u2014even a drum will do!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This will save quite a few lives.<\/p>\n

Not just us slope workers, but anyone in the construction industry or other industries who suffers from heatstroke should be submerged in water!<\/p>\n

I'd like you to use this as a guideline.<\/p>\n

If you lose consciousness while soaking in water, you\u2019ll need someone to slap or tap you to wake you up, so please make sure someone stays with you at all times.<\/p>\n

Always keep a close eye on it once you put it in water!<\/p>\n

Just this alone makes a truly dramatic difference.<\/p>\n

If you set up a water tub at the job site, fill it up, let a trickle of water run while you're working, and turn it off before you leave, the cost wouldn't be that high, right?<\/p>\n

That's all the more true if you can pump up groundwater.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a small thing, but I think it\u2019s important at this time of year, so why not try setting up a cold-water bath at your worksite?<\/p>\n
