On drawings, the main anchor is often shown right in the center of the intersection.<\/p>\n
That doesn't mean you have to hit it right down the middle.<\/p>\n

The main function of the anchor is to prevent movement until the mortar hardens.<\/p>\n
The key is the process up until it hardens; after that, the friction is eliminated by the formwork\u2019s own weight.<\/p>\n
That means it's fine to drive the main anchor pin next to the void pipe.<\/p>\n
Well, there are some supervisors who absolutely insist that everything has to be exactly according to the blueprints, though lol.<\/p>\n

If this were the main reinforcing bar in the frame, it would cause structural problems.<\/p>\n
In the photo above, they're also scraping the vertically cut rebar...<\/p>\n

If the supervisor isn't overseeing the work, whoever notices the issue (a worker) should take care to address it.<\/p>\n
