Our latest safety training is in 3D! lol<\/p>\n

One of our younger employees fell off the scaffolding while wearing 3D VR goggles!<\/p>\n
Of course, since it's virtual reality, I'm talking about a virtual space, lol.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

Since you can't actually have this kind of experience in real life, I think being able to experience it through VR is extremely valuable.<\/p>\n
Recently, at relatively large construction sites\u2014such as those managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism\u2014VR and similar technologies have been introduced and are playing a role in preventing accidents.<\/p>\n

This kind of simulated experience seems to be extremely effective, and recently, using VR and sensors, it has become possible to even recreate the sensation of touching objects that are far away.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s important to be able to experience even a little bit of danger by making full use of that kind of cutting-edge technology, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

It is highly unlikely that we will ever encounter dangers we could never have imagined.<\/p>\n
If that were to happen, it\u2019s more likely that things would turn out to be absolutely outrageous.<\/p>\n
The idea is that if we can simulate that experience, we can eliminate unsafe behavior.<\/p>\n
Since you\u2019ve been through it once, as long as your brain can recognize that \u201cthis is dangerous!\u201d\u2014that\u2019s all that matters\u2014and you can tell yourself, \u201cI\u2019ll be fine.\u201dIt works if you can overcome the normalcy bias<\/strong><\/span>That's it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Most accidents result from unsafe behavior.<\/p>\n We often engage in unsafe behavior without even realizing it.<\/p>\n The reason is that actions that are safe in everyday life can become unsafe at a construction site.<\/p>\n At a construction site, your usual daily routine can be unsafe, so you need to adjust your mindset and behavior accordingly.<\/p>\n When you've been in this industry as long as we have, you're always wearing safety shoes, lol. We don't go out of our way to do anything unnecessarily dangerous, lol.<\/p>\n I think a lot of people say that lol<\/p>\n VR is an effective way to raise awareness of that.<\/p>\n It\u2019s something I always say\u2014be mindful of it! To really drive this forward, I hope VR continues to play an even bigger role in the future.<\/p>\n Let's work on using VR to help us switch between different states of mind and behavior.<\/p>\n If you search for terms like \u201cVR\u201d or \u201cdangerous VR experiences,\u201d you\u2019ll find plenty of content like this!<\/p>\n The immersion in VR is amazing, so I highly recommend it!
