{"id":43354,"date":"2021-01-04T08:00:24","date_gmt":"2021-01-03T23:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/?p=43354"},"modified":"2026-05-17T11:50:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T02:50:42","slug":"norimen-carbon-neutral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/en\/norimen-carbon-neutral\/","title":{"rendered":"A Slope Construction Company Considers Carbon Neutrality | Environmental Initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.<\/p>\n<p>This is Enta.<\/p>\n<p>Have you heard of carbon neutrality?<\/p>\n<p>I just found out about this myself recently, but it\u2019s the CO2 issue that\u2019s been a concern for some time now.<\/p>\n<p>To put it simply, it's like, \"Stop emitting CO2!\" lol<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In particular, as part of its national policy to promote the shift to electric vehicles, the government has set a goal of \u201cbanning gasoline-powered cars\u201d by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>And it seems the automotive industry is working hard toward that goal.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JAMA Chairman Toyota Expresses Concerns About Full Transition to EVs; Environment Minister Koizumi: \u201cWe Share the Same Vision for Decarbonization\u201d (December 18, 2020)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6zoznlVU0VU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>There is a high likelihood that this trend will definitely reach the construction industry as well.<\/p>\n<p>As expected, our CO2 emissions are quite significant.<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for the stickers indicating compliance with emissions regulations for construction machinery.<\/p>\n<p>These days, when you buy a new car, it complies with the Third Emission Standards.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43356\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/60KVA.jpg\" alt=\"60-kVA Generator\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/60KVA.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/60KVA-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I just noticed from the photo that the generator I bought the other day is actually registered with NETIS, lol (I had no idea).<\/p>\n<p>If there is a growing push for better fuel economy and higher efficiency in the future, it is entirely possible that our older machines will no longer be usable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This isn't about the previous controversy, but I recall hearing that passenger cars registered more than 13 years ago would face a 39% tax increase (20% for kei cars), right?<\/p>\n<p>There is a possibility that something similar to that could emerge in the construction industry in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, within the existing regional scoring system, points are awarded for CO2 reductions, or for creative ways of using this machine to reduce CO2 emissions by a certain amount.<\/p>\n<p>That's probably how it will turn out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our friends, the Slope Guys! (Just as awesome as the ball in *Captain Tsubasa*!)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2.3 kVA Compact Generator<\/span><\/strong><\/span>I did some calculations to see if I could power it with solar energy.<\/p>\n<p>The hammer drill used for slope stabilization work has a power consumption of 1,100 W and is operated for 6 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Also, since using just one unit is a struggle, we\u2019ll use two. (Inverter loss: 85%, available discharge capacity: 70%)<\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, the battery capacity is now 2000 Ah (including losses).<\/p>\n<p>Convert that to solar panels: 4,000 W = 4 kW (rounded up to account for losses)<\/p>\n<p>14 panels, assuming the use of panels capable of generating 300W<\/p>\n<p>Assuming each sheet is approximately 1.7 m\u00b2, 1.7 m\u00b2 \u00d7 14 sheets = 23.8 m\u00b2<\/p>\n<p>If you lay out a solar panel measuring about 5 m \u00d7 5 m on site, you can drill holes with a hammer drill without emitting any CO2\u2014as long as the weather's good! lol<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43357\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1143bb506356b89e23cf15429d15d644.jpg\" alt=\"Sunny\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1143bb506356b89e23cf15429d15d644.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/1143bb506356b89e23cf15429d15d644-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>If it's sunny!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>That's the basic premise\u2014if it rains or is cloudy, we'll either have to stop working or switch to other tasks, but in a way, it really makes a big impact, lol.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not at all realistic, but it would be kind of funny to have a 5m \u00d7 5m solar panel just sitting there on site. lol (Though it would be way too expensive and probably impossible.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It does seem that using this clean energy source may be impractical after all, so there may still be room for further consideration; however, for the time being, CO2 regulations for internal combustion engines look set to become stricter.<\/p>\n<p>I realized that since this actually affects us more than we might think, we need to take a close look at it and give it some thought.<\/p>\n<p>To put it bluntly, what about using products that clearly state their CO2 emissions during production?<\/p>\n<p>How much CO2 is emitted during the production of the work gloves I use every day, and are they low-carbon products?<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for the materials we use.<\/p>\n<p>What about the wire mesh? What about the prestressed steel strands??
