{"id":43101,"date":"2020-11-23T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2020-11-22T23:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/?p=43101"},"modified":"2026-05-17T13:48:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T04:48:58","slug":"concrete-mix-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norimen.net\/en\/concrete-mix-water\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Used in Concrete Mixing | Quality Control"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.<\/p>\n<p>This is Enta.<\/p>\n<p>What do you do about the water used for mixing grout, mortar, sprayed concrete, and the like?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43102\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/water_shizuku.png\" alt=\"\u6c34\" width=\"458\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/water_shizuku.png 458w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/water_shizuku-275x300.png 275w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 458px) 100vw, 458px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The water we use includes mountain spring water, river water, lake water, and tap water.<\/p>\n<p>I think they're using freshwater instead of seawater.<\/p>\n<p>I'm pretty sure they're not using rainwater, though lol<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a common misconception, but just because we tested the water quality doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s okay!<\/p>\n<p>That's what you'd think, right?<\/p>\n<p>Water quality testing is only required for drinking water.<\/p>\n<p>The standards are particularly strict when it comes to using it as public drinking water, and it will almost certainly not be approved unless it passes through a filter or similar treatment.<\/p>\n<p>But there is water out there that doesn't contain any pathogens but has mineral levels that exceed the standard limits, isn't there?<\/p>\n<p>They actually call that \"mineral water,\" lol<\/p>\n<p>Since it's well below the drinking water standards, it's easy to pass...<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-43105\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/science_kannou_kensa_hyouka.png\" alt=\"Water Quality Testing\" width=\"502\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/science_kannou_kensa_hyouka.png 502w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/science_kannou_kensa_hyouka-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/science_kannou_kensa_hyouka-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/science_kannou_kensa_hyouka-60x60.png 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 502px) 100vw, 502px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This means that, based on the water quality test results, this water is not suitable for use in the mixing process.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the same applies to tap water.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, which type of water is best for spraying?<\/p>\n<p>The answer is simple, but,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Water that produces compressive strength<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Suppose there are three types of water: A, B, and C.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A is river water<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">B is the water in the lake<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 150%;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">C is tap water<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Which one do you think is the strongest?<\/p>\n<p>The results vary considerably depending on the region.<\/p>\n<p>The answer becomes clear when you use all the water to make concrete test specimens and conduct compressive strength tests.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can collect that water on-site and conduct a test installation without any issues (preferably with us present), or you can take the water to a public testing facility for testing.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Testing the Water Used for Mixing\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jqa.jp\/service_list\/machine\/service\/examination_item\/nerimaze_water.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Testing the Water Used for Mixing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In reality, having the test administered at an official testing center would likely make the results easier to accept (both personally and from the government\u2019s perspective).<\/p>\n<p>It is advisable to have someone present and keep a record of the photographs when collecting water samples at the site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Evidence is crucial in our management work. (To put it coolly: \"Evidence!\")<\/p>\n<p>Since we absolutely need proof, we can't just go by whether or not he said it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 120%;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Based on the results of the test conducted at the \u25cb\u25cb public testing facility, we obtained \u25cb\u25cb results, so we are planning to proceed with construction as described.
