This is a follow-up to the recent Construction Fair 2020 in Chubu.<\/p>\n

\"CCUS\"<\/p>\n

This is probably the type of device that will be used at major construction sites in the future.<\/p>\n

You can count them by tapping your card here.<\/p>\n

The photo above shows a terminal designed for outdoor use on-site.<\/p>\n

\"CCUS\"<\/p>\n

It looks like this is the one for indoor use.<\/p>\n

Apparently, if you tap this once to enter the site, the government charges you 10 yen lol<\/p>\n

The system changed this October, and the price was raised from 3 yen to 10 yen.<\/p>\n

Back when it was 3 yen, the cost of materials at the site was 3 yen in and 3 yen out, for a total of 6 yen per day. (Or so I thought.)<\/p>\n

Since this entry for 10 yen says \u201cper day,\u201d I assumed it meant 10 yen per day, but it actually says \u201cper use.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since CCUS is used when you swipe your card, if this counts as using the service, then...<\/p>\n

I wonder if there's a 10-yen charge every time I enter and leave the site.<\/p>\n

Spending 20 yen a day??<\/p>\n

\"Card\"<\/p>\n

The average number of construction workers in fiscal year Heisei 28 was 4.92 million.<\/p>\n

Suppose half of these people (2.46 million) used the CCUS (Construction Career Up System) to enter and exit construction sites.<\/p>\n

Does the government receive 49,200,000 yen (49.2 million) per day? (Assuming 20 yen is spent on each transaction)<\/p>\n

If you multiply the above figure by the number of days in a month (20), the total charge comes to 984 million yen...<\/p>\n

Apparently, this system lets you rate craftsmen and boost your income, but for now, just by signing up and showing up at job sites, I\u2019m losing money every day, lol.<\/p>\n

After all, it costs 400 yen per person every month.<\/p>\n

If the general contractor has to foot the bill for this, there\u2019s absolutely no doubt that the burden will be passed down to the subcontractors! I mean, this is a given, right? lol<\/p>\n

For now, am I the only one who feels like things are heading in the direction of lower income?<\/p>\n

So, who stands to benefit the most from this system??<\/p>\n

The integration of the My Number and driver's license has been announced.<\/p>\n

It looks like this is expected to happen in 2026 or later.<\/p>\n

Isn't it the same with CCUS? Am I the only one who thinks it would be fine to combine it with a driver's license or My Number?<\/p>\n

It looks like we'll have to carry around a lot of government-issued cards in Japan from now on, which is a bit of a hassle.<\/p>\n

The topic of this post is \u201cEvaluation and Annual Income.\u201d Since the system entered full-scale operation this fiscal year, whatever Tomuro says at this point won\u2019t stop the trend toward mandatory enrollment and use. I honestly think it\u2019s impressive that they\u2019ve built such a robust system, and I believe that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, along with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Japan Pension Service, are working together to sustain the construction industry going forward...<\/div><\/div>
