A director is definitely a must-have, isn't it?<\/p>\n
There are even some older folks who insist they can't do it and just refuse to try, lol.<\/p>\n

When I was 20, CAD wasn't very common yet, and Lotus 123 and Ichitaro were the main programs used, rather than Excel.<\/p>\n
And that was back when word processors were the main tool for creating documents.<\/p>\n
Since I\u2019d been using PCs rather than word processors since around that time, I think I was probably more skilled in that area than anyone else at the company.<\/p>\n
I used DOS-V CAD to draw my blueprints.<\/p>\n
Even back then, I was drawing up blueprints and preparing documents on behalf of my seniors and supervisors, so I became quite skilled in those areas as well.<\/p>\n

I went from having absolutely no idea to becoming more proficient than anyone else in just over half a year.<\/p>\n
This has nothing to do with age, right?<\/p>\n
Even now, I\u2019m still quite forgetful, but as I mentioned the other day, I\u2019m a jack-of-all-trades, so I can handle just about anything to some extent.<\/p>\n

I don't want to, but I'll give it a try anyway.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n It's okay if you don't like it. But if you just give it a try, you'll gradually get better and eventually be able to do it.<\/p>\n Older people say things like, \u201cI don\u2019t know how to use Excel\u201d or \u201cI don\u2019t know how to use CAD,\u201d but that\u2019s no different from getting in the way of young people\u2019s work.<\/p>\n Even though we're trying our best to make things easier by using IT technology, even just a little, there are people who can't or won't do it, and they're getting in the way.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Right now, Minister Kono is trying to do away with personal seals.<\/p>\n That's a wonderful initiative.<\/p>\n While there is a movement to get rid of unnecessary items, older people place great importance on tradition.<\/p>\n It doesn't really matter whether you have a seal or not, does it? (Except for important documents.)<\/p>\n Take invoices, for example.<\/p>\n It's funny how they say it's no good just because there's no stamp, even though the person making the request is the one issuing the invoice. lol<\/p>\n Like, \"Email won't work,\" or something.<\/p>\n Our invoices use an electronic seal, so it's already included in the template.<\/p>\n All you have to do is print it out. If you're sending it by email, save it as a PDF.<\/p>\n Then, simply attach it to an email and print it out to complete the invoice.<\/p>\n Like, \"It has to be sent by mail,\" or \"Please stamp it with ink.\" (It's ridiculous, lol.)<\/p>\n To be honest, you can't tell the difference between the red ink and the printout at first glance lol<\/p>\n And I only send them as printouts, too, lol<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We really wish something could be done about this kind of wasteful, outdated system, don't we?<\/p>\n I\u2019d like you to set aside convention and try out the new system.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re an older person (though sometimes younger people are included too) who can\u2019t or won\u2019t do something\u2014even if you\u2019re a supervisor\u2014please understand that making your subordinates do what you can\u2019t do is stealing their time.<\/p>\n It goes without saying that a boss should do what their subordinates can't.<\/p>\n It is a sign of a supervisor\u2019s negligence to make subordinates do what the supervisor cannot do.<\/p>\n Of course, it\u2019s perfectly fine to have strengths and weaknesses, and if the results show that someone is slow or not very good at something, that\u2019s understandable, and subordinates will accept it.<\/p>\n Bosses who just keep complaining\u2014even though they can\u2019t do the work themselves\u2014while piling work on you are nothing but a source of stress. (Though I suppose the opposite is true, too.)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thanks to having had such a lousy boss back in the day, I was able to experience a lot more than most people.<\/p>\n I'm actually grateful for it now lol<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Perhaps thanks to the pandemic, we\u2019ve made significant progress in streamlining our administrative operations.<\/p>\n I\u2019d like to gradually reduce the amount of work that isn\u2019t directly related to construction, even if only a little.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello, everyone.
