This is Enta.<\/p>\n

I recently had the air conditioner at my house replaced.<\/p>\n

The thing is, it broke after just one year, lol.<\/p>\n

Well, after talking with the manufacturer, we concluded it was a motherboard failure, but when they said the replacement motherboard wouldn't arrive until October, I was like, \"Huh!?\" lol<\/p>\n

It seems that recent home appliances are discontinued after about a year, and since that model is no longer available, the circuit board is probably custom-made?<\/p>\n

But expecting us to wait until October in this heat is just too much to ask.<\/p>\n

Well, the manufacturer just keeps saying, \"Yeah, I guess that's true...\" lol<\/p>\n

When I told them, \u201cI\u2019m going to buy a new one anyway, so please repair this one,\u201d they explained that it would be treated as a trade-in.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve settled on 85 to 90 percent of the purchase price for now.<\/p>\n

And when I bought and installed the new air conditioner, I checked the piping from the original, broken unit.<\/p>\n

I took the photo from directly to the side, holding the camera level, but the drain in the foreground is slightly tilted upward.<\/p>\n

When viewed from the outside, it looked like it was installed so that it rose about 10 mm at the top and then sloped downward.<\/p>\n

It's a little hard to see, but can you tell that the drain pipe goes up from the back and then comes down?<\/p>\n

Since the water has risen and then fallen once, it has pooled on the indoor side.<\/p>\n

At first, water was gushing out.<\/p>\n

I contacted \u25cbtt\u25cb Camera (the store where I bought it), but they just kept insisting it was due to temperature fluctuations.<\/p>\n

Well, looking back, it's clear that this was the reason the water was spraying.<\/p>\n

By the way, the customer support from \u25cbtt\u25cb Camera when my camera broke this time was the worst lol. It was surprisingly bad.<\/p>\n

So, after looking into it online, it seems that \u25cb\u30c3\u25cb Camera\u2019s customer support itself has a pretty bad reputation\u2014though I guess it might just be hit or miss, lol.<\/p>\n

To be honest, I\u2019m a total novice when it comes to air conditioners, so I hadn\u2019t really given it much thought, but after what happened this time, I\u2019ve definitely learned my lesson lol.<\/p>\n

I spent a lot of time researching basic installation manuals and construction methods, so I\u2019ve gained some knowledge.<\/p>\n

Since the actual construction work is being carried out by private contractors (mostly sole proprietors) who have no qualifications whatsoever, no specialized knowledge is required.<\/p>\n

The vacuum process is pretty much the same as in a car.<\/p>\n

If you can manage that, it should be a breeze.<\/p>\n

But I'm not going to do it, lol.<\/p>\n

This is strictly based on my knowledge as a director.<\/p>\n

If you've gotten to a certain level of proficiency, you'll be able to spot any mistakes.<\/p>\n

When I made the purchase, everything...Don't Leave It Up to the Contractors<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's how I'd like it to be.<\/p>\n

We public sector workers have to submit paperwork for everything\u2014whether it\u2019s using materials, hiring subcontractors, or commuting by car, right?<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll also ensure consistency across all aspects\u2014including route maps, usage instructions, installation methods, and who the primary and secondary users are. It\u2019s all in the documents!<\/p>\n

However, when it comes to air conditioner installation, it\u2019s a subcontractor\u2014or perhaps a sub-subcontractor\u2014working through an electronics retailer who actually comes to do the work.<\/p>\n

Someone whose identity and qualifications are completely unknown.<\/p>\n

When it comes to building a single house through private construction, are there any homebuilders that clearly disclose who is doing what in a multi-tiered subcontracting system??<\/p>\n

This whole situation made me think that. (I don't know anything about housing.)<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve learned quite a bit about air conditioning installation myself, so if there\u2019s a next time\u2014lol\u2014I\u2019d definitely like to supervise the work properly.<\/p>\n

I wonder if the myth of Japanese home appliances\u2014which were said to never break\u2014is finally over...<\/p>\n
