I think we\u2019re always gathering information online.<\/p>\n
In the past, when people wanted to buy a piece of equipment or learn about its specifications, the most common approach was to call the manufacturer to have a sales representative come by or to request that they send brochures or catalogs.<\/p>\n
So, back then, information wasn't free, was it?<\/p>\n
Costs were incurred due to the time people spent on it.<\/p>\n
So, whenever a salesperson came by, I felt kind of guilty, lol (partly because I was young).<\/p>\n
Internet Explorer was released shortly before I entered this industry (1995).<\/p>\n

I was looking for a certain product and tried to download the catalog.<\/p>\n
You can't download it unless you enter personal information, such as your company name.<\/p>\n
What do you think of this? lol<\/p>\n

In this day and age, information is practically free.<\/p>\n
This is especially true for brochures and catalogs.<\/p>\n
It's important for people to know about it first.<\/p>\n
I believe that once everything is made public, that\u2019s when business begins.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly why I\u2019m being completely transparent and disclosing all the information.<\/p>\n
However, in our line of work as directors, differences in interpretation and perspective can lead to subtle changes in our approach and methods.<\/p>\n
Still, I think it will also serve as a way for me to check my own answers.<\/p>\n

How many people in this world would be willing to disclose their personal information just to get a brochure like the one shown above?<\/p>\n
I'm guessing that about 80% of people, if they came across a page like that, would quietly click the button in the upper right corner...X button<\/span><\/strong><\/span>Click here, lol<\/p>\n I might take a look if the product is incorporated into the design or if I absolutely have to, but<\/p>\n In practice, the standard procedure would be to call a trading company you have a business relationship with.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These days, whenever we look for something, we always use the Internet, and since it\u2019s practically free, we take it for granted.<\/p>\n Put another way, this means that if it isn't free, people won't watch it.<\/p>\n So, I found something similar from that manufacturer, so that's fine, but,<\/p>\n As I\u2019m writing this, I\u2019m actually a little embarrassed that I\u2019m venting my frustration on my blog just because I couldn\u2019t download a single brochure or catalog\u2014it really shows how petty I am, lol.<\/p>\n As I write this, I\u2019m starting to feel calmer. (I\u2019ve written this far, so I\u2019ll just post it, lol.)<\/p>\n I\u2019ve been feeling bad about today\u2019s post because it\u2019s kind of a rant, lol.<\/p>\n I'm kind of sorry...<\/p>\n That said, the truth is...Valuable information comes at a cost<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's right.<\/p>\n The point is, shouldn't product brochures at least be free?<\/p>\n Today, I'm heading to the manufacturer's factory for a test run of the machine I ordered.<\/p>\n We\u2019re pretty busy right now because we have inspections for private construction projects coming up first, but,<\/p>\n Let's take it slow, stay calm, avoid contact with people and objects as much as possible, and stay healthy!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello, everyone.
