That said, since I finished most of the preparations last week, all I have to do is pull the hose,<\/p>\n
It's just light work, like changing tools.<\/p>\n
We've scheduled a 130-metric-ton crane for tomorrow to handle the actual equipment relocation, so we'll start then.<\/p>\n
I'm hoping to do at least a little bit of drilling tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it's even possible with a spring drill.<\/p>\n
I think it's probably possible, but in the worst-case scenario, we may need to consider replacing the machine.<\/p>\n

According to the catalog specifications, the maximum drilling depth for the Spring Drill 40 II is approximately 15 meters.<\/p>\n
In my experience, it\u2019s just under 20 meters in sandy soil. (Drill hole diameter: \u03c690, drill angle: 90 degrees)<\/p>\n
I have experience drilling to a depth of 17 meters in gravel and soft rock. (Drill hole diameter: \u03c6115, drilling angle: 20 degrees)<\/p>\n

In this case, the drilling angle is 90 degrees, the borehole diameter is \u03c6115, and the soil is sandy.<\/p>\n
In a sense, it's uncharted territory.<\/p>\n
Well, it's always a mystery, lol.<\/p>\n

There are a few clever touches here and there, so I think it'll probably be fine, but you never know until you try it!<\/p>\n
That part kind of freaks me out, but I'm also kind of looking forward to it.<\/p>\n
In the worst-case scenario, we may have to deploy a medium-sized aircraft and redo the work.<\/p>\n
I suppose I should just use a larger one from the start, but,<\/p>\n
As you can probably tell from the fact that it takes a 130-metric-ton crane to get it in, it\u2019s quite a distance away.<\/p>\n
There's a huge gap where nothing can fit at all between the crane's position and the drilling location, so we have to use the smallest machine possible!<\/p>\n

As for drilling holes, the manufacturer says it\u2019s best to avoid it, but,<\/p>\n
Since I end up being able to drill the hole anyway, it feels like I'm pushing the limits of the machine's capabilities, lol.<\/p>\n
But it takes time. There's just nothing we can do about that.<\/p>\n
Since we\u2019re drilling holes more than 15 meters deep with a machine this small, we can only complete about two holes a day.<\/p>\n
I don't usually go for three.<\/p>\n
It probably depends on the soil type, but based on my experience, 2.5 sticks is about right.<\/p>\n

I think it could be done if we use a small machine to carefully drill the holes, since bringing in the machinery is such a hassle.<\/p>\n
Even at my age, I'm still taking on new challenges.<\/p>\n
That said, sometimes being on site is really refreshing.<\/p>\n
That said, it\u2019d be great if I didn\u2019t have any paperwork to deal with when I get home, lol.<\/p>\n
