When the rock gets hard, it tends to be about one per strand.<\/p>\n
It depends on the size, but a ring bit used in standard ground anchor construction costs around 30,000.<\/p>\n
It really gets tough when things start falling apart left and right.<\/p>\n
The drilling costs just keep getting slashed, lol.<\/p>\n

In situations like that, while drilling, I\u2019d ask the general contractor, \u201cSince this soil condition wasn\u2019t anticipated initially, could you please try to cut the bit cost in half, even if it\u2019s just half?\u201d<\/p>\n
There are times when you might have to negotiate.<\/p>\n
Depending on the director in charge, some people may readily agree, and<\/p>\n
Some people say things like, \u201cYou\u2019ve factored that into your estimate, haven\u2019t you?\u201d\u2014sounding just like a bureaucrat.<\/p>\n
But if I had factored that in properly when I gave the estimate, I think people would say it\u2019s too expensive, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n
I guess that's all part of the negotiation, lol<\/p>\n

So, conversely, there is a very real possibility that the quoted price could vary depending on the person in charge at the general contractor.<\/p>\n
Or, depending on the person in charge, they might just say they won't take on that job, lol.<\/p>\n
Contractors also don't want to work with supervisors they don't like.<\/p>\n
This annoying director is,<\/p>\n
