Submersible pumps don't really get maintained very often, considering how much they're used, do they?<\/p>\n

We don't do that either\u2014we just keep using things until they break, lol. If we keep this up, we won't be able to do anything when the time comes.<\/p>\n

Taking it apart occasionally to inspect the blades, change the oil, and replace the gaskets will help extend its service life.<\/p>\n

A common problem is a broken cable in the cap tire.<\/p>\n

There are quite a few people who tend to pull on their tires.<\/p>\n

Workplace Accidents at the New National Stadium<\/h3>\n

To put it simply, as part of the Olympic-related projects, regarding the construction of the New National Stadium,<\/p>\n

This is the case of a young director who developed depression after working more than 200 hours in a month and subsequently committed suicide in Nagano Prefecture.<\/p>\n

Consequently, the bereaved family is filing a workers' compensation claim.<\/p>\n

Young Lives<\/h3>\n

It is extremely painful when a young life is cut short.<\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve always said, young people are the treasures of our future.<\/p>\n

If that treasure were to disappear, it would be the same as our future disappearing.<\/p>\n

Adults are supposed to uphold those values, but at work, they\u2019re always making a fuss about things like deadlines, schedules, and \u201cWhere\u2019s that paperwork?\u201d<\/p>\n

I think, \u201cDon\u2019t expect that much from a young guy!\u201d But that\u2019s just how general contractors are.<\/p>\n

A young life is worth 100 million\u2014and so much, much more!<\/p>\n

If it's too hard, you should just quit. It's better that way.<\/p>\n

The Mindset of a Major General Contractor<\/h3>\n

There are actually quite a few people with a sports club background among the 40s, 50s, and 60s at major general contractors these days.<\/p>\n

I used to work at a dam construction site for about three years, and the section chief at the general contractor would constantly talk to me in a confrontational way, lol.<\/p>\n

I used to get annoyed every time, thinking, \u201cWhy can\u2019t this person ever say things any other way?\u201d lol<\/p>\n

I graduated from the Civil Engineering Department at Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School, but when it comes to major general contractors, most of them are graduates of Japan\u2019s top universities.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a huge gap in academic ability between graduates of rural high schools and those from the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and other top-tier universities. (Well, maybe I\u2019m just being bitter? lol)<\/p>\n

But they're amazing!I'll do whatever work my boss tells me to do<\/span><\/strong>That's right!<\/p>\n

He\u2019d just stay up all night without batting an eye. And he was super strict, wasn\u2019t he?<\/p>\n

When I saw that back then, I felt sorry for them and thought, \u201cThat must be really tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

In contrast, my boss is a laid-back guy, which was really great lol (Mr. Ijima, the easygoing one)<\/p>\n

He was great at his job, and he was popular with the craftsmen, too.<\/p>\n

Looking back now, I\u2019m glad I had that boss.<\/p>\n

So, what's the deal?<\/h3>\n

Overtime hours for employees at major general contractors... Going forward...<\/p>\n

It's definitely going to keep growing!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The number is currently increasing, and we are adjusting overtime hours.<\/p>\n

Something like this,It may not seem obvious, but it\u2019s done as a matter of course.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The company's directive is: \"Don't work more than 40 hours of overtime; go home early.\" (According to a current employee at a major general contractor)<\/p>\n

However, operations on the ground are running smoothly, it\u2019s difficult to halt them, and there\u2019s a labor shortage.<\/p>\n

There is an even greater shortage of construction supervisors than of skilled workers.An era where there are no \"ready-to-work\" employees anywhere<\/span><\/strong>That's it.<\/p>\n

When it comes to construction managers sent by staffing agencies, is there even one good one in every ten? Probably not. LOL<\/p>\n

When it comes to that, you can see where the focus will shift, right?<\/p>\n

That's right!<\/p>\n

We're a subcontractor.<\/p>\n

What Will Happen to Construction Managers?<\/h3>\n

It looks like the way we subcontractors and general contractors manage things is going to change soon.<\/p>\n

With such severe restrictions on working hours, it wouldn't be enough to simply pay employees in full for their overtime hours.<\/p>\n

Construction managers' salaries continue to rise like eel prices.
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span>(An Era of Rising Labor Costs)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Especially on large construction sites, such as those managed by general contractors.<\/p>\n

Also, as is currently the case, former on-site agents aged 65 and older are being reinstated.<\/p>\n

These days, just about every company is rehiring employees.<\/p>\n

That means companies without construction managers will inevitably go out of business.<\/p>\n

Sure enough, construction managers' salaries are skyrocketing! Skyrocketing! Skyrocketing!<\/p>\n

However,Only Skilled Construction Managers<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That's it.<\/p>\n

High-performing employees will keep climbing the ranks, while average employees will likely stick to average salaries.<\/p>\n

Until the Administrator Is Ready<\/h3>\n

I've written a rough estimate of the time frame for this topic before.<\/p>\n

I think it takes about eight years to get to a point where you can do it reasonably well.<\/p>\n

How to Become a Construction Site Supervisor<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Even for the fastest, it takes five years.<\/p>\n

The Value of a Construction Manager<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

If we want to develop future managers, we have no choice but to make better use of IT and take risks in the short term...<\/p>\n

In the end, the ones who suffer are<\/h3>\n

It must be a government office.<\/p>\n

Unless we actively pursue deregulation, we won\u2019t be able to stop the exodus from the construction industry.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>I suppose so.<\/p>\n

The supervisor and the workers all left, and ultimately, the construction bid failed. The project itself could not proceed.<\/p>\n

Who spreads the winter de-icing agent (calcium chloride)? And who fixes the potholes in the asphalt?<\/p>\n

Complaints from residents?? We can't do the construction properly without a supervisor, can we?<\/p>\n

The director and the crew are one team, after all!<\/p>\n

Construction companies aren't stupid, so they'll likely start choosing projects with good profit margins.<\/p>\n

There's a possibility that people will start avoiding troublesome construction projects.<\/p>\n

I suppose the construction industry is currently undergoing a period of transformation within the public works sector.<\/p>\n

We should keep an eye on the government's response going forward.<\/p>\n
