It\u2019s often said that the biggest shortage amid this labor shortage is skilled workers, but in reality, there\u2019s an even greater shortage of supervisors.<\/p>\n
A site supervisor manages a single construction site from planning through inspection.<\/p>\n
Since tradespeople only do one type of work, it\u2019s kind of easy in a way. (Though if I write something like this, I\u2019ll probably get scolded by tradespeople who don\u2019t understand supervisors, lol.)<\/p>\n
It takes more than just a year or so to get the hang of being a site supervisor, so a proven track record is indeed very important.<\/p>\n

It seems that the annual salary for that site supervisor is skyrocketing.<\/p>\n
I've heard that site supervisors in their 40s and 50s with over 10 years of experience can earn an annual salary of 7 to 8 million yen.<\/p>\n
They're all big companies, though, lol.<\/p>\n
Since I'm a director myself, I know how demanding the job is, so I think that's about right.<\/p>\n
However, jobs at major companies pay well because the workload is intense. That\u2019s only natural.<\/p>\n
An enormous pile of internal documents.<\/p>\n
I have to prepare documents for internal use, and I have to deal with these internal documents while getting nagged by a veteran administrative staffer.<\/p>\n
It really gets on your nerves, doesn't it? lol<\/p>\n
The administrative staff keeps grumbling at me because the internal documents aren't all in order, which is really stressing me out.<\/p>\n
It really makes you wonder, \u201cDoesn\u2019t \u2018administrative work\u2019 include helping out with internal paperwork?\u201d lol<\/p>\n
I'm sure there are some things the office staff doesn't understand, though. I felt that way myself back in the day, lol.<\/p>\n

If you can put up with that kind of thing, you should definitely go with a major company.<\/p>\n
Because the pay is high,Resignation<\/strong><\/span>will be added.<\/p>\n What's more, working at a major company gives you the opportunity to interact with a tremendous number of people.<\/p>\n Meeting all kinds of people really helps you grow as a person in a huge way, doesn't it?<\/p>\n People are shaped by other people.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>That\u2019s exactly what I\u2019m saying!<\/p>\n Sometimes, though, you end up becoming a bit of a curmudgeon, just like the site manager at a huge construction site, after being polished too much, lol.<\/p>\n If you work for a major company, you\u2019ll gain a comprehensive understanding of specialized trades and ancillary work, and learn how to manage them.<\/p>\n You'll gain an understanding of various types of construction work, and you'll learn about safety management from the very best.<\/p>\n I, too, really learned my craft working on dam construction sites for major general contractors and the like (though I got so sick of being corrected every day, lol).<\/p>\n You'll be able to learn about top-level construction management in Japan, but it's definitely a grueling job.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the contrary, I'm sick of that kind of work.<\/p>\n Taking it slow rather than working too hardI want to work in a family-oriented environment<\/span><\/strong><\/span>If that's the case, I recommend staying in the local area.<\/p>\n No matter what anyone says, they're family, and I care about them.<\/p>\n A company won't save an individual.<\/p>\n Take care of yourself.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This is a fundamental part of life.<\/p>\n If you work for a major company, what do you lose in exchange for your skills? It probably varies from person to person, but please give it some thought.<\/p>\n The best thing about working locally is the laid-back atmosphere.
