Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

There’s something I’ve been thinking about—not just recently, but for the past few years.

Wouldn't it be better to make our company's production schedule public?

That's what I think.

To put it bluntly, the construction industry is currently a seller's market.

No matter how much work the general contractor has, construction simply can't proceed without a construction crew.

So, I think that if construction companies were to disclose their work schedules, the general contractor would be able to make some choices.

However, this does mean it’s limited to construction companies that provide constant updates so you can stay informed about the situation.

That way, it can make up for the fact that a small, fly-by-night construction company like ours doesn't have any sales capabilities to begin with.

Naturally, the general contractor must assess the project schedule and issue requests for quotes and other related tasks accordingly.

If a slot opens up in the schedule and a construction project is confirmed, that project will be added to the schedule.

If you keep doing this, it will create a sense of security for both of you.

The general contractor manages the schedule and plans for construction contracts in accordance with the subcontractors' schedules.

Subcontractors can establish business and construction plans with a clear outlook.

I know I’m making it sound easy, but I don’t really think it’ll go that smoothly.

However, I think that if things were a little more open, both subcontractors and general contractors would be able to gain insight into a very different world.

That said, there are some unscrupulous contractors out there, so you can't generalize.

It’s not like Tabelog, where you can rate good and bad restaurants, but it would be even better if there were some kind of “behind-the-scenes” ratings (whether you can see them or not), lol.

There are some parts that are a little scary, though.

Going forward, we plan to publish these types of schedules as well.

I’m not entirely sure what will happen, but I hope this industry will continue to improve, even if only a little.

See you later.
