Well, it's just your typical zabuton frame, isn't it?<\/p>\n

Take this, for example. You can see something\u2019s different from the photo above, right?<\/p>\n

Did you notice?<\/p>\n

That's because there's no void tube.<\/p>\n
Of course, the area surrounding the pour location is left unreinforced.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been about a week since the zabuton formwork was poured, so it\u2019s now fully set.<\/p>\n

Why didn't you include a void?<\/p>\n
Anyway, I tried this out as an experiment, and first of all, it makes it easier to center the anchor.<\/p>\n
And you can easily drill a hole right through it with a drill.<\/p>\n
The reason is that since there are no voids, it\u2019s easier to apply the trowel, making it easier to lay the material straight.<\/p>\n

It's okay if there are a few cracks around the casing.<\/p>\n
After all, it's just a backing on the pressure plate.<\/p>\n

It's a little hard to tell, but this is what it looks like after drilling.<\/p>\n
It's a bit hard to tell since the only close-up photos I have are of the anchor scale, but please bear with me lol<\/p>\n

It's completely empty, isn't it?<\/p>\n
This method isn't half bad, is it?<\/p>\n
The drilling alignment doesn't stray that much, and since you're really grinding away with the bit, it's easy to drill a hole through mortar.<\/p>\n
Maybe we don't need to remove the box after all.<\/p>\n

This method might actually be easier when working within the zabuton frame.<\/p>\n
Whether or not you do it depends on the director's knowledge and experience, but I highly recommend it.<\/p>\n

You see them everywhere\u2014people who say they can\u2019t do this without that, or they can\u2019t do that without this.<\/p>\n
That's not true. There are lots of ways to do it.<\/p>\n
It's just a matter of whether you have experience or not.<\/p>\n
I think that if you try various things and gain experience, you'll be able to create something new.<\/p>\n

The reason there\u2019s no anchor in the hole shown in the photo above\u2014where the drilling is complete\u2014is that I did insert an anchor because of a problem, but then I pulled it out lol.<\/p>\n
