Here's a story I heard the other day from a contractor I know.<\/p>\n
Construction Company A, which was working on a major project, was a third-tier subcontractor.<\/p>\n
Once the job is done, the sales team approaches the first-tier subcontractor and asks them to give the next job directly to us, bypassing the second-tier subcontractor.<\/p>\n
The primary contractor was on guard and apparently asked one of my acquaintances, \u201cWho is that contractor?\u201d<\/p>\n

There are quite a few people who go out to pitch to subcontractors and general contractors by mentioning the names of companies they know only a little about.<\/p>\n
Similarly, there are salespeople who go out on calls saying things like, \u201cI know so-and-so at such-and-such company.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A sales approach that involves using someone else's name.<\/p>\n
I wouldn't recommend it, lol.<\/p>\n
I'm not saying it's bad. But as someone who comes here, I view it very skeptically.<\/p>\n

This is a tactic often used by people whose companies or who themselves lack any particular strengths.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s just like the proverb, \u201cto ride on someone else\u2019s coattails.\u201d<\/p>\n
To put it another way, this behavior basically means, \u201cAs long as I\u2019m okay, that\u2019s all that matters!\u201d but,<\/p>\n
As contractors, we all want to do a good job for the general contractor, right?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The general contractor makes a profit, and so do we.<\/p>\n
That's why we work quickly and efficiently.<\/p>\n
The same is true from the opposite perspective.<\/p>\n
However, the types of businesses mentioned above are the kind that don\u2019t care about anything as long as they come out ahead.<\/p>\n
So if things get tough, they'll just bail and run away.<\/p>\n
And yet, they seem to go all out bashing other companies, which, in a way, is incredibly destructive.<\/p>\n

Apparently, people say things like that on entertainment shows too, so I hear all kinds of stories lol<\/p>\n
When strangers start complaining to you in places you don't even know... I can't help but think, \"Are they really fans?!\" lol<\/p>\n

Well, the name \u201cEnta\u201d has taken on a life of its own to some extent, but let me make this clear.<\/p>\n
I have very few friends!!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n There are even fewer connections among slope construction contractors!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I do know a few people who work at branch offices.<\/p>\n There are some people who used to be my juniors or seniors. However, I\u2019m hardly in touch with any of them, and we don\u2019t really keep in touch.<\/p>\n I do reach out when I have questions about design or cost estimation\u2014things like construction methods and pricing.<\/p>\n People who know me probably think of me mainly as a supplier of materials.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Please be very careful of people who try to get close to you by using someone else's name lol<\/p>\n <\/p>\n See you later.<\/p>\n P.S.
