I've been in Kokura for the past few days!<\/p>\n
It's a little over three hours by Shinkansen from Nagoya.<\/p>\n
As for what I went there to do, it was a workshop on construction methods that are likely to become popular in the future. (Slope-related)<\/p>\n
This was also something I ended up going to on short notice after a senior introduced me to it lol. It felt super pushy, though... lol<\/p>\n

I can't talk about the construction method just yet, but here's some other information.<\/p>\n

You all wear suits, right? (Well, it\u2019s not exactly an industry where people usually wear them.)<\/p>\n
I have a few of them myself, but,<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a shop that makes custom suits\u2014probably the cheapest in Japan\u2014and they look absolutely awesome.<\/p>\n

It's right here.<\/p>\n
A shop called nana.<\/p>\n
Well, at first glance, it's pretty plain, lol.<\/p>\n
It feels like, \"No one would ever go into a regular suit shop, right?\"<\/p>\n
But when I went there the other day, there were two people having suits made!<\/p>\n
And what's more, from Osaka. Actually, I hear this suit shop gets customers from all over the country!<\/p>\n
Apparently, people from all over Kyushu are flocking there like crazy, but I hear there are also a lot of visitors from outside the prefecture.<\/p>\n
Among the customers I know, there are even some from Nagano and Tokyo!<\/p>\n

I guess that means there are a lot of customers who\u2019ve decided, \u201cIf I\u2019m going to get a suit made, this is the place to go!\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, there's no doubt that it's actually really cool.<\/p>\n
Plus, they'll even make regular pants for you.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m more of a workwear person than a suit person, so as long as I can mix and match, that\u2019s enough for me\u2014but for those who dress up nicely on a regular basis, isn\u2019t this just irresistible?<\/p>\n
And isn't being cheap the best?<\/p>\n

There's also a caf\u00e9 area where you can charge your devices! lol<\/p>\n

The color looks a little washed out in the photo, but in reality, it\u2019s a more sophisticated shade of camouflage!<\/p>\n

This suit also has a sharp, stylish look to it, and it feels like something I could wear anywhere.<\/p>\n

I don't know if it's just me, but I used to think that suit shops like this only made suits.<\/p>\n
But actually, they also make regular pants and shorts, don't they?<\/p>\n
And it's super hard to get into!! lol<\/p>\n
I feel like people might say, \"Not really for first-timers,\" lol.<\/p>\n

Apparently, this is the suit Prime Minister Abe wears in the Diet.<\/p>\n
I hear that if you buy it in Ginza, Tokyo, it costs 800,000 yen or more, but,<\/p>\n
I was told that if I had it made by Nana here, it would cost less than half\u2014or even way less\u2014using the exact same materials (fabric) and the same construction method, lol.<\/p>\n
I've completely lost track of what things are actually worth.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Abe's suit was a really nice color and felt amazing against the skin!<\/p>\n

When I hear the term \"custom-made suit,\" it seems a bit intimidating.<\/p>\n
It's pretty hard to get in, isn't it?<\/p>\n
However, at this nana store, it seemed like ordinary customers would just pop in and buy something on the spot.<\/p>\n
It's kind of fun because I get to decide everything\u2014from the buttons to the thread to the lining and so on.<\/p>\n
Depending on the fabric, the price can easily drop below 100,000 yen! I was totally shocked to find out that custom suits like that actually exist! lol<\/p>\n
It seems there are a lot of women among the customers\u2014that's amazing.<\/p>\n

By the way, the owner of this place is also a longtime senior of mine!<\/p>\n
And I used to work in slope stabilization!!!<\/p>\n
It was the owner of this place who taught me all sorts of tips and tricks when I first started working on slope stabilization.<\/p>\n
Even though I work at a suit shop, I have a Level 1 Civil Engineering Construction Management license, as well as certifications for slinging, mobile cranes, BH, and tons of others lol<\/p>\n
I think even if a slope specialist came by, we could have a fun discussion about slopes, don't you think?<\/p>\n
