The other day, I went to the i-construction trade show.<\/p>\n

Wow, that was really educational.<\/p>\n

The tsunami of automation is already here.<\/p>\n

In a recent blog post, I wrote that the government wants to promote i-construction globally.<\/p>\n

The ICT Wave Shows No Signs of Stopping<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When I checked with Mr. Komatsu, sure enough,That's what I mean<\/span><\/strong>It seems like that.<\/p>\n

That means this is definitely going to happen.<\/p>\n

Everything is automated: we use drones for surveillance and surveying, take photos with our cell phones, and check the shape of the cut lines on our cell phones.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The machine is semi-automatic, and tasks like slope grading (excavation)\u2014which used to require about 10 years of training\u2014can now be performed after just about three days of training.<\/p>\n

There are sensors everywhere you look.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I suppose various software development projects will also move forward, led by Mr. Komatsu.<\/p>\n
