That said, while I think the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism\u2019s pilot program with a full two-day weekend is great, doesn\u2019t it just end up unnecessarily driving up costs?<\/p>\n
That's what I think.<\/p>\n
With a full two-day weekend plus holidays off, the number of working days in a month (January) falls below 20.<\/p>\n
At best, it'll be around 20 days.<\/p>\n

For example, let's say the regular monthly rate per person is 25,000 yen. (Labor costs only)<\/p>\n
25,000 yen \u00d7 4 people \u00d7 20 days = 2,000,000 yen (500,000 yen per person)<\/p>\n
If you're a sole proprietor, you might be able to do it. (Travel expenses not included?)<\/p>\n
That said, when you factor in social insurance and other costs, it\u2019s still pretty tough.<\/p>\n
If this were a corporation with \"other expenses\" listed under company expenses, it would be virtually impossible.<\/p>\n
