When you're doing maintenance, there are all kinds of tiny parts, right?<\/p>\n
What would you do if it were completely rusted?<\/p>\n
I think you'll need to remove the rust first before repainting.<\/p>\n
You attach a wire cup to the sander to sand things, right?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
However, the rust remover we're introducing today only requires soaking!<\/p>\n
That said, you can find products like that just about anywhere, lol.<\/p>\n
Well, for those who haven't used it before, this might be helpful.<\/p>\n

This is before rust removal.<\/p>\n
For rust like this, I left it soaking for a full day.<\/p>\n
This rust remover can be diluted, making it very economical.<\/p>\n
Since the rust was so bad, I tried diluting it to twice the strength. (This connector is just for testing, though.)<\/p>\n

This is what it looked like a day later.<\/p>\n
The middle section is supposed to be threaded, but it has corroded and deteriorated.<\/p>\n
It looks like most of the rust has been removed.<\/p>\n

I found a rusty gauge protector, so I went ahead and installed it while I was at it.<\/p>\n

This blind cap was terribly rusty, but now it looks brand new!!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It looks nice.<\/p>\n
After removing the rust remover, rinse it thoroughly with water.<\/p>\n
Naturally, since all the oil has been removed, oxidation proceeds due to the water used for washing, as well as moisture and oxygen in the air.<\/p>\n
Therefore, it is necessary to dry it as quickly as possible and apply a rust-preventive coating to seal it off from the air as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

I didn't have time to paint it, so I'll save that for next time, but this diaphragm-type gauge protector is expensive, so,<\/p>\n
I want to cherish this!<\/p>\n

Actually, we've had this product sitting around for over half a year, and this is the first time I've used it lol<\/p>\n
\"Didn't have time to use it?\" lol So this was my first time using it.<\/p>\n
It's a very user-friendly product, and since it can be diluted and reused,<\/p>\n
It seems you can remove rust with the same solvent as many times as you like (until it evaporates and is gone).<\/p>\n
It appears that a small amount of gas (odor) is being emitted during the chemical reaction.<\/p>\n
It smells like an alkaline solution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since these types of chemical products are mostly for commercial use, they come in large quantities.<\/p>\n
We do a fair amount of rust removal at home, so I have a feeling this will come in handy going forward.<\/p>\n
