Safety Awareness Month<\/span><\/strong><\/span>However, I do end up meeting and talking with all sorts of people, but,<\/p>\n

That's really informative.<\/p>\n

I've started being able to listen to what older people have to say\u2014both the good and the bad\u2014lol.<\/p>\n

When I was younger, I used to feel that it was annoying or a nuisance, but,<\/p>\n

Lately, it\u2019s been like I\u2019ve been able to reaffirm things and think, \u201cOh, I see\u2014that makes sense!\u201d<\/p>\n

As expected, older engineers really do know everything!<\/p>\n

It would be great if we could preserve all of this knowledge, wouldn't it?<\/p>\n

I suppose an era where we train AI to make its own decisions is just around the corner.<\/p>\n

\n

But that's beside the point.<\/p>\n

Recently, there have been more and more foreign workers at slope construction sites as well.<\/p>\n

That isForeign Trainee Program<\/strong><\/span>As a result, the number of young foreign workers is on the rise.<\/p>\n

Where's the loophole?<\/h3>\n

The other day, I asked a social insurance and labor consultant I know to write an article about social insurance for foreign workers.<\/p>\n

That's because participation is mandatory for everyone under the Foreign Trainee Program.<\/p>\n

However, it seems that some companies are trying to avoid this.
\n (No matter how much I look, I can't find anything like thatThere are no loopholes.<\/span><\/strong>(I had them write that for me lol)<\/p>\n

That wasn't the only problem!<\/h3>\n

Some people end up leaving because of deteriorating working conditions or changes to their terms of employment.<\/p>\n

As expected, they look down on workers from overseas.<\/p>\n

It seems that threats like \u201cIf you do this, we\u2019ll cut your pay\u201d or \u201cIf you do that, you won\u2019t get a bonus\u201d are becoming increasingly common, and<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a little strange to think that just because you\u2019re a foreigner, you can use it for less, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

What's with this idea that just because someone is a foreigner and doesn't understand the language very well, they can say whatever they want??<\/p>\n

Why Hire Through the Foreign Trainee Program?<\/h3>\n

We're short-staffed.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Even if I go to Hello Work or post job listings, no one applies.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It's relatively easy to hire workers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Operations on the ground aren't running smoothly, and the company is struggling.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

No one is interested in civil engineering.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since we're short on workers, we've asked countries with available labor to send people, and they're coming to Japan.<\/p>\n

Well, they come here because they want to make money in Japan, so I don't think they expect there to be such a big gap between them and the Japanese.<\/p>\n

Jobs in the entertainment industry, too?<\/h3>\n

At this time, Enta has no plans to hire foreign nationals through the Foreign Trainee Program.<\/p>\n

Except for foreigners with Japanese citizenship, of course.<\/p>\n

Above all, my primary motivation is to train Japanese engineers.<\/p>\n

Naturally, since it is a for-profit company, profits take priority.<\/p>\n

From a business perspective, I suppose it makes sense to hire foreign workers, who are said to be cheaper.
\n (I don't know, since I've never hired anyone.)<\/p>\n

But we don't do that kind of thing here.<\/p>\n

We are quietly and steadily nurturing young Japanese engineers, and we have no qualms about the fact that, as times change, their expertise will eventually flow overseas.<\/p>\n

For now, I'd like to stick with Japanese people.<\/p>\n

I know that sounds pretty cool, but,The fact is, we lack both the vision and the capacity to nurture foreign nationals.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>But lol<\/p>\n

By the way, the employees at Entame...The average age is 38.1 years<\/span><\/strong>That's how it was lol<\/p>\n

73-Year-Old Slope Worker<\/strong>But he alone is pushing up the average age!<\/p>\n
