Suppose we install a 300-frame retaining wall.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Area: 214 m\u00b2<\/li>\n<li>Length: 18 m<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing bar diameter: D13<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing bar overlap: D13 \u00d7 40 = 520 mm<\/li>\n<li>Length of rebar used: 5 m<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2534\" src=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/zumen.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/zumen.jpg 600w, https:\/\/norimen.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/zumen-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since the maximum length is about 18 m, 214 m\u00b2 \u00f7 18 m = 12 m<\/p>\n<p>The lateral length shall be 12 meters.<br \/>\n (It's okay if it differs from reality.)<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Vertical Reinforcing Bars<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Since the length is 18 meters,<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">18 m \u00f7 5 m (length of rebar used) = 3 bars, with 3 m remaining<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be three overlaps in the rebar.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">5 m + 5 m + 5 m + 3 m = 18 m<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since the overlap of the rebar is 0.52 m per location,<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">0.52 m \u00d7 3 locations = 1.56 m<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">3 pieces of rebar at 5 m each + 3 m + 1.56 m = 19.56 m<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since Frame 300 uses four reinforcing bars on the top and bottom,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>19.56 m \u00d7 4 = 78.24 m per beam<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Horizontal Length \u00f7 Frame Spacing = Span<\/p>\n<p>12 m \u00f7 2 m = 6 spans<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">6 spans + 1 = 7 beams (same number of intersections)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">7 beams \u00d7 78.24 m = 547.68 m<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">547.68 m \u00d7 0.995 kg\/m (unit volume weight of D13 rebar) = 545 kg<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That's how it works.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next time, it's the side view.<\/p>\n<p>*There are many ways to calculate this.<br \/>\n This method isn't the only one.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>See you later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, everyone.
